Tour Summary

Are you looking for some adrenaline-pumping excitement? You'll feel your heart beating on this thrill-a-minute shark diving adventure. Stuart Cove's professional dive experts will guide you on an excursion to witness the toothy predators of the Bahamian reefs, the Caribbean Reef Sharks. But don't worry -- although this dive is extremely exciting, our PADI-trained divemasters are experienced in maintaining a safe environment to witness these amazing aquatic carnivores.

You'll never forget diving in such close proximity of these powerful hunters; their sleek skins, black eyes, pointy fins, and rows of sharp teeth will be burned into your memory. You'll be astounded by their amazing agility as these wild sharks are fed by our expert shark handlers. These sharks will not be interested in you; their attention will be fixed upon the fish offered by our divemaster.

This dive trip is divided into two separate stages: the wall dive and the shark feeding dive. The wall dive takes place in one of two dive sites: the Shark Wall or the Runway Wall. Both of these sites are fabulous undersea walls with a large vertical wall teeming with sea life, including plenty of Caribbean Reef Sharks. At these locations, no baiting or feeding will take place, so divers have the chance to view these remarkable creatures typical behavior. The sharks will maintain a comfortable distance on this fantastic free dive along the wall.

After the dive along a wall, the dive party will descend to the sandy sea bottom at either the Arena or the Runway. Both of these locales have plenty of open space where neither the divers nor the sharks will feel confined. The shark feeders will then release bait with the use of a long spear, drawing the sharks around the dive party as they rest on the sandy floor. This immersive experience will definitely be the highlight of your Bahamas vacation.

What are the requirements to participate in this dive?
This dive requires an open water certification or higher.

What Goes On During A Shark Dive?
This dive is a two-tank dive. Your first dive will typically be a free swim with the sharks at a dive site named the Shark Wall. This wall is located right next to one of the feeding sites used on this dive, so when the boat pulls up the sharks know its feeding time. The second dive is a feeding dive with the feeding done by the shark feeder. This dive can get really exciting as the sharks seek out their free meal.

Can you pick us up from our cruise ship or hotel?
Complimentary pick up is provided from all hotels and cruise ship areas.

What are water conditions like?
All dives occur on the south side of the island where waters conditions are great all year round. Visibility remains clear and consistent all year round. Water tempatures change seasonally but average between 72 - 78f.

Can I use/bring my own scuba diving equipment?
Yes. Many people feel more comfortable using equipment they are familiar with and are best suited towards their body type. While we do everything to ensure our divers are using the safest, most reliable gear we do allow our divers to use their own dive gear.

Can my non-diving partner come on the dive?
Yes. While your partner will not be able to participate in the dive itself they can come along as a rider and enjoy the trip with you.

Is There a restroom on the boat?
Yes. There is a restroom or "Marine Head" for use on the boat.

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
