Tour Summary

The Two Tank Afternoon Dive gives participants the chance to visit two fabulous dive spots in the crystalline waters off the shores of Paradise Island and Nassau. The first stop will be at an exciting undersea wall, which usually begins at a depth of forty feet (some walls start between forty to sixty feet). These walls offer an excellent opportunity for both rookie and veteran divers. Newbies may want to stick to the shallower portions of the walls, while advanced divers can descend to a more challenging depth of eighty to ninety feet. The submerged wall is an excellent environment to witness some fantastic corals, sponges, brilliantly colored fish, turtles, eels and rays. The dramatic drop-off of these dramatic undersea walls is a marvelous teeming aquatic habitat.

The next stop on this diving expedition visits either an expansive coral reef or a mysterious submerged wreck. You'll be awestruck by the mind-boggling variety of underwater species inhabiting the gorgeous coral gardens off the shores of the Bahamas. The coral reefs in the Bahamian Islands are reputed to be some of the best examples of biodiversity on the globe.

Depending on weather conditions, visibility, currents, and our clients' preferences, the second stop may visit a wreck site instead of a reef. The waters off New Providence and Paradise Islands are home to some underwater movie locations. Scenes from the James Bond and Jaws film series have been shot at these offshore wrecks, including sunken airplanes. A one-hundred-foot ship also offers a chance for divers to explore. These sunken remnants now have become thriving habitats for many undersea species.

If you have a party with a variety of diving experience, this multi-site trip offers some great diving for all experience levels.

What are the requirements to participate in this dive?
This dive requires an open water certification or higher.

Can you pick us up from our cruise ship or hotel?
Complimentary pick up is provided from all hotels and cruise ship areas.

What are water conditions like?
All dives occur on the south side of the island where waters conditions are great all year round. Visibility remains clear and consistent all year round. Water tempatures change seasonally but average between 72 - 78f.

Can I use/bring my own scuba diving equipment?
Yes. Many people feel more comfortable using equipment they are familiar with and are best suited towards their body type. While we do everything to ensure our divers are using the safest, most reliable gear we do allow our divers to use their own dive gear.

Can my non-diving partner come on the dive?
Yes. While your partner will not be able to participate in the dive itself they can come along as a rider and enjoy the trip with you.

Is There a restroom on the boat?
Yes. There is a restroom or "Marine Head" for use on the boat.

What about sharks and other sea creatures?
With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on scuba divers are even more rare. Our staff, divers and dive masters are all trained in making sure your dive is safe and enjoyable.

How long are you underwater?
Length of time underwater for these dives completely depends on the depth of the dive. You can expect to be under water for 25-40 minutes for dives 40-60 feet and about 35-45 minutes for dives less than 40 feet deep.

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
